THE LOCATIONS ARE:

            Pevensey
William's landing site. He moved inland slightly from here and built a wooden castle inside the ruins of the Roman fort
in what are now the grounds of Pevensey Castle.

            Caldbec Hill
Where Harold mustered his troops the night before the battle, under the "hoary old apple tree". Some historians believe
Caldbec Hill was in fact the site of the battle itself.

            Blackhorse Hill
            Where William mustered his troops.

            Telham Hill
            William's likely battlefield observation point.

            Senlac Hill
            The battlefield itself.

            Malfosse
The presumed site of a mass grave. Now a quiet residential area at the edge of the town of Battle.
